Anthony Joshua called out by Tyson Fury after brutal Kubrat Pulev knockout in x-rated rant | Boxing | Sport

Tyson Fury has claimed Anthony Joshua is scared to fight him after AJ refused to directly answer questions on an undisputed fight. The Gypsy King was watching the action from his home in Morecambe and took to social media to address his British rival, who wiped the floor with the determined veteran Pulev.

When asked about the prospect of an undisputed clash with Fury, Joshua spun the question by saying it was for the fans to answer.

He was then pushed for answer and Joshua was adamant he’s “ready for anything,” adding: “Less talk, more action.

“I started in 2013 and have been chasing all the belts and handling all the mandatories. Whoever has the belt I will compete with them. If that’s Tyson Fury, then let it be Tyson Fury.

“I’m just picking them off one-by-one.”

“There you go everyone, Anthony Joshua s*** himself live on television,” Fury tweeted.

“He got asked if he wanted the fight and he went around the bushes and put his a*** in the hedge.

“I want the fight. I want the fight next. I will knock him out inside three rounds, he’s a big b** dosser and I can’t wait to knock him out.”

Adam Smith, Head of Sky Sports boxing, invited Fury down to London to be part of their coverage.

He said: “This is Tyson Fury, the Gypsy King. Just a quick one guys, I will not be attending any boxing this weekend. For all the rumours this weekend that I’ll be attending some boxing, I will not be.

“Don’t expect fireworks, don’t expect any action from the Gypsy King because I’ll be grafting, I’ll be working as usual, always staying fit and ready. Good night and god bless.”

Joshua was excellent as he successfully defended his WBA, WBO and IBF belts against the dogged Bulgarian veteran.

He knocked Pulev down in the third round but his opponent refused to lie down and stuck around.

In the ninth, Joshua sent Pulev tumbling with a brutal uppercut and this time he refused to let the 39-year-old off the hook.

He closed the show with a thumping right hand that left Pulev squirming around on the canvas.

Eddie Hearn says he will do everything he can to ensure the undisputed clash with Fury happens.

“We know what we have to do, starting from tomorrow we make the Tyson Fury fight straight away,” he told Sky Sports.

“It’s the only fight to be made in boxing, it’s the biggest fight in boxing, it’s the biggest fight in British boxing history.”
