Co-op opening hours: What time is Co-op open this Bank Holiday?

Britons will enjoy a three-day bank holiday weekend this week. Many people will get an extra day off work this Monday thanks to the Spring bank holiday, meaning workers from many shops and businesses in the UK will get an extra day off as stores close their doors. And with the weather forecast for the UK to see sunny skies, the long weekend comes at a perfect time.

Weather maps show the Uk could see the mercury climb to the mid-20s, with 25C forecast for some parts on Monday.

Other areas will see windy spells but it’s expected to be dry and bright for most.

So whether you’re heading to the park or staying home this weekend, you may fancy a last-minute dash to the sops for picnic or barbecue essentials.

But what time is Co-op open this weekend? brings you a simple guide on Co-op opening times over this second May bank holiday.

These times can vary from store to store, so check your local opening times here.

Remember: Co-op has introduced a dedicated hour at the start of opening for those at high risk, and their carers.

NHS workers also have priority, able to shop during the first hour of trading in every store – from 8am to 9am from Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 11am on Sundays.

Because some store opening times can vary from shop to shop, you should check the opening time of your local shop.

The Co-op is predicting sizzling sales of its British steak this weekend, as the nation’s meat lovers look to recreate their favourite rib-eye, rump or ranch moments from the comfort of their own kitchens.

The retailer saw a record 70 percent jump in steak purchases earlier this month for the early May bank holiday.

And its expecting another run on meat this weekend, so Coop has beefed up its supply by 40 percent in anticipation of the extra demand.

Paul Cunningham, Co-op’s Buying Director, said: “Steak has long been seen as something of a decadent treat and whilst our nation’s pubs, bars and restaurants sadly remain closed, it’s only natural that meat lovers want to try and mimic those special dining experiences at home.

“Mince has been the lockdown go-to ingredient for batch cooking easy, every-day favourites but given our record sales earlier this month, it looks like we could be seeing a bank holiday steak bonanza.

“This is also great news for our British farmers who have been working around the clock to keep the national fed.”

The Co-op currently has a two for £7 or three for £10 across its rump steak range.

The Co-op is also offering eight different BBQ bundles on Deliveroo this bank holiday weekend, including a Burger BBQ bundle comprising Co-op White Rolls (6pk), Co-op British 4 Beef Quarter Pounders, Co-op Iceberg Lettuce, and Cathedral City Mature Cheddar for £7.80, and also a Kebab BBQ bundle comprising Co-op chicken breast fillets, sweet red peppers (3pk) and red onions (3pk) for £8.20.
