Paracetamol is in short supply during coronavirus after ibuprofen was found unsuitable to treat symptoms of the illness. Families are stocking up, understandably, to ensure they can stay well during lockdown.

However, this has led to a lack of the medicine on the shelves.

Paracetamol is the first treatment recommended by the NHS to those self isolating with the illness.
