David Luiz and Raul Jimenez in sickening clash of heads during Arsenal vs Wolves clash | Football | Sport

Wolves striker Raul Jimenez came off worse from a sickening collision with Arsenal defender David Luiz in tonight’s Premier League clash at the Emirates tonight. Luiz and Jimenez suffered a clash of heads in the fifth minute of the match in north London. Luiz attacked a Willian corner and clattered into Mexico star Jimenez.

The sound of the collision could be heard on live TV and Sky Sports refused to show a replay of the incident.

Wolves players were immediately concerned for their team-mate, waving on the medical staff.

Luiz came off best, suffering a cut which had to be bandaged up, before returning to action after a near 10 minute delay.

But Jimenez laid motionless on the ground and appeared to be placed in the recovery position.

The striker was seen receiving oxygen while being stretchered off and was replaced by summer signing Fabio Silva.

Jimenez was making his 11th appearance of the season for Wolves.

The 29-year-old has established himself as one of the top Premier League strikers since arriving in England in 2018.
