Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed Diogo Jota has picked up a knock and could miss Sunday’s Premier League trip to Fulham. Left-back Konstantinos Tsimikas is also facing a race to be fit while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may return.
“Kostas, we have to see,” Klopp said. “Diogo got a knock as well.
“Oxlade-Chamberlain is in normal training. Nobody else is coming back, I’m afraid.”
On Oxlade-Chamberlain, he added: “It’s been a long time after a challenge in training.
“Tough time for him but now the sun shines for him. When he’s long enough in team training he will be an option.”
Jota played 87 minutes as Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw by FC Midtjylland in the Champions League in midweek.
Tsimikas also completed an hours before he was replaced by Andrew Robertson.
However, both men have reported back to training with issues and are doubts for the tip to west London.
The Reds have a number of key players ruled out for the foreseeable future but they may receive a boost ahead of their visit to Craven Cottage.
Goalkeeper Alisson will be put through his paces this afternoon ahead of his return to the team.
“I was rather in favour of it,” he said. “I’m not sure we all thought it through, how long we take to get a decision.
“A few things are not like they were before – and it was better before
“If we change something, there should be improvement, and that is most definitely not the case.”
