As the US remains on lockdown, the home of Elvis Presley has been shut down too. However, Graceland have now announced Ask Archives where fans can take part in a live-streamed Q&A from inside the Memphis mansion. Graceland made the announcement in a recent newsletter email to fans.

The event announcement read: “TUNE IN FOR AN ASK ARCHIVES INSTAGRAM LIVE Q&A [on] THURSDAY, APRIL 16 2:30 PM CT.”

For fans watching in the UK on Thursday that will be 8:30pm BST.

The statement continued: “Join Angie Marchese, VP of Graceland Archives and Exhibits, on Thursday, April 16 for a special Instagram Live event at Graceland Mansion where she’ll be answering questions from fans about Graceland and the Graceland Archives.

“Tune in via @Elvis on Instagram to participate!”

The Graceland archivist also showed fans around Vernon Presley’s office.

Here is where the King’s father managed the estate and his son’s personal business.

Interestingly, Elvis didn’t appear under the Presley surname in a 1958 Memphis phonebook there.

Maybe the local government were trying to prevent fans calling him up at home.

Angie also showed fans inside Vernon’s safe.

Inside were a pair of Elvis’ sunglasses and a stack of the King’s RCA records.

Other highlights included To and From labels actually addressed to Elvis at Graceland.

While Angie also pointed out Vernon’s bag of rubber bands and daily records for meter readings dated back to 1973.
