Kate Middleton and Prince William mark Meghan Markle’s birthday with brief public message | Royal | News

Kate and Prince William’s social media account Kensington Royal published a brief birthday message dedicated to Meghan. It read: “Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex today!”

The message was accompanied by a birthday cake and red balloon emoji as well as a picture of Meghan taken during an engagement she carried out in November, a few days before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left for their six-week break in Canada.

In the run-up to Remembrance Sunday, Meghan and Harry visited the Broom Farm Community Centre – close to their home in Windsor – to have a cofffee with families of soldiers deployed.

In the sweet snap, Meghan is speaking to a little girl offering her a cake.

Kate and Prince William’s social media message dedicated to Meghan came a few minutes after the Queen and Prince Charles’s social media accounts had also published birthday messages for the Duchess of Sussex.

Clarence House, which represents Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, published a picture of the smiling American Duchess adding: “Happy Birthday to The Duchess of Sussex!”

Similarly, the Royal Family’s Twitter account shared a snap taken in June 2018 during Meghan and the Queen’s only joint event.

The birthday wishes sent by Buckingham Palace read: “Wishing The Duchess of Sussex a very happy birthday!

“The Queen and The Duchess are pictured during a joint visit to Chester in 2018.”
