Kate Middleton style: Duchess wears red shirt & hoop earrings in video

Kate Middleton has been giving fans an insight into a more relaxed side of her wardrobe in recent weeks as she appears in various video calls. In the latest video, released on the Kensington Royal’s social media accounts on Monday night, Kate wore a cheerful shade as she took a virtual tour of Clouds House, an addiction treatment centre in Wiltshire. Kate paired the look with subtle earrings which she has been spotted in before.

The Duchess of Cambridge had a video call with the Wiltshire-based charity, which is run by Action on Addiction.

Talking remotely with the team from her home with Prince William in Anmer Hall, Norfolk, Kate checked in on how the charity was coping during the pandemic.

Kate had first visited the charity after she became a patron in 2012, but she took a royal virtual tour of the centre to see how things had changed.

The video was shared on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Twitter page, with the caption: “The Duchess of Cambridge goes on a virtual tour! Having met the amazing staff of @ActionAddiction, The Duchess spoke with current clients & those accessing the online Clouds aftercare service to see how they have been doing throughout the lockdown period.”

Kate wore the Daniella Draper hoop earrings that she had previously worn during her trip to Ireland.

The mini hoops are crafted from 9-carat gold and can be customised with charms – something Kate did for her previous look by adding shamrocks.

For this video however, Kate wore the £185 earrings plain with no charms – and they’re still in stock for fans who want to get the look.

It’s the second time the Duchess has recycled her jewellery for royal appearances in recent days.

For Friday’s volunteering call however, Kate recycled a white broderie anglaise shirt to go with the chic earrings.

The appearance sparked a shopping frenzy for the Mabel Shirt by MiH Jeans, which costs £255.

Kate’s style choices often cause items to sell out fast as her royal fans flock to copy her approachable looks, especially since her outfits have been more wearable in lockdown.

The Duchess has caused Ghost dresses to sell out, though the thrifty royal has also been recycling plenty of outfits that are no longer available, with shoppers looking for dupes of her style choices instead.
