Maleficent Mistress of Evil: Is Maleficent 2 available to stream on Disney Plus? | Films | Entertainment

Many new releases are coming to streaming platforms before they arrive in hard copy. This is even more the case now, given how the COVID-19 lockdown is forcing people to stay indoors. Children’s films are even more required at the moment, with parents desperately trying to find ways to occupy their little ones.

Is Maleficent: Mistress of Evil coming to Disney +?

Similarly to Frozen 2, fans had to wait a little while after its cinematic release before the Maleficent sequel would be made available on Disney Plus.

However, while US fans may have got the movie, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is still not available for UK fans to enjoy on Disney +.

The platform is available on a seven-day trial, after which it is £59.99 for an annual membership or £5.99 monthly, so it is very easy for fans to sign up.

What is Maleficent: Mistress of Evil about?

The official synopsis reads: “In Disney’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil… Maleficent and Aurora begin to question their complex family ties as they are pulled in different directions by impending nuptials, unexpected allies and dark new forces at play.”

The movie is rated a PG and is 119 minutes long, meaning it is an ideal way to keep the children occupied while some much-needed rest is achieved.

The movie stars Angelina Jolie as Maleficent, while Elle Fanning plays Aurora and Michelle Pfeiffer plays the Queen Ingrith, Aurora’s soon-to-be mother-in-law and mother to Prince Phillip.

“There are scenes of fantasy violence in which fantastical characters are shot with crossbows during battle, and in one instance stabbed with a small blade.

“There are scenes in which characters are zapped with energy blasts. Injuries are seen to heal quickly.

“There is some mild bloody injury detail in the aftermath of falls and violence.”

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil will be available on Disney + soon – fans should check in with for updates
