Fans reckon Jadon Sancho will join
Manchester United fans are convinced that Jadon Sancho is joining after the Borussia Dortmund star played Marcus Rashford on FIFA 20. Both players took part in England’s Staying Home Cup on Friday night, with Sancho beating his pal Rashford 2-1.
The tournament is raising funds for the National Emergencies Trust to help fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
Rashford faced Sancho in the last 16 of the tournament on Friday night, with the Dortmund star winning 2-1.
And United fans were quick to notice the connection between the youngsters, especially after Rashford scored with himself, with Sancho getting the assist.
“The connection already,” one fan wrote.
“Sancho to Rashford! Do it in real life at United,” another added.
A fellow United fan said: “Practicing his link up for next season.”
“Just foreshadowing the 2021 season, Sancho assisting Rashford,” another United supporter agreed.
Jadon Sancho signing backed
Jadon Sancho has been tipped to reject Liverpool and Manchester City to join Manchester United by former Red Devils defender Danny Higginbotham.
“I would [sign for United over Liverpool and City], I would because I look at the development of the younger players at the club, I look at what [Ole Gunnar] Solskjaer is doing, so I don’t think there is any issue if he was to go there,” he said.
“There is a ready-made position for him and I think the way United play absolutely suits his style and the way that he wants to play, with the pace and the power going forward.
“The attraction obviously at United over the years has been the success and the manager who has been in charge as well.
“But I don’t think for one minute that if Manchester United wanted to sign Sancho that they couldn’t get him.
“I still think there is an allure about United.”
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to axe five players
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is plotting a ruthless summer sale which could see five players leave Old Trafford to make way for new recruits.
Solskjaer has been heavily backed in the last two transfer windows and he is plotting the final touches of his squad overhaul to take place at the end of the season.
According to the MEN, centre-back Chris Smalling will be allowed to move on with Roma keen on making his loan deal permanent.
The second player is Alexis Sanchez, who may find it more difficult to find a new home.
The Chilean earns around £500,000-a-week but he has only made two league starts while on loan at Serie A side Inter Milan this season.
Sanchez will return to Carrington this summer but his salary is needed off the wage bill.
Jesse Lingard, Andreas Pereira and Phil Jones will also be offloaded this summer.
Ed Woodward urged to make four signings
Manchester United are three or four signings away from challenging Liverpool for the Premier League title, Old Trafford hero Paul Scholes reckons.
“I still think they are a bit off the pace, they’ve looked good lately since Fernandes came in but Liverpool and Manchester City are streets ahead,” Scholes told BBC Radio 5 Live’s Friday Football Social.
“There are three or four signings that can help but for the first time in a long time you feel like they could close the gap to the top.”
Liverpool have ran away with the Premier League title this season, with the Reds boating a 25 point lead ahead of Manchester City.
