Meghan Markle’s life in public eye described as vision of ‘complete hell’ by fellow Royal | Royal | News

Sophie Winkleman, sister of Strictly Come Dancing presenter Claudia, married into the Royal Family in 2009. Her husband is Lord Frederick Windsor, the son of the Queen’s first cousin Prince Michael. The 40-year-old has made a career for herself as an actress in Hollywood.

She landed a role as Zoey in the sitcom Two and a Half men, playing Ashton Kutcher’s lover.

The successful series ran for twelve seasons between 2003 and 2015 on CBS, the channel that broadcast Meghan and Harry’s explosive interview.

Despite her acting fame, Ms Winkelman has managed to a keep a low profile and for the most part avoid the intense media scrutiny that her fellow actress, Meghan, has had to endure.

In an interview with the Insider, Sophie expressed relief at her relative anonymity, saying she did not envy Meghan’s fame and the media intrusion that entailed.

She explained: “I don’t think you can compare us.

“She’s on a humongous, mega, global scale, and that would be my idea of complete hell.

“I’ve never been on Facebook, Twitter, any of it. I don’t like the thought of it.”

Meghan has often complained about the intense media scrutiny that she has had to endure after her marriage to Prince Harry.

In an interview with ITV’s Tom Brady in 2019, she confessed that she found it difficult to cope with the attention of the press, particularly after giving birth to Archie.
