Queen and Adam Lambert perform We Are The Champions remotely for fans | Music | Entertainment

Queen and Adam Lambert haven’t seen each other since completing the latest leg of their Rhapsody world tour in Australia this February. Brian May, Roger Taylor and Lambert were set to reunite for a UK and European tour from late May through to July. However, the coronavirus pandemic has seen these dates postponed from Queen’s 50th anniversary year to 2021.

Nevertheless, the trio have been keeping fans entertained through their Instagram accounts.

Queen guitarist May has been playing micro-concerts and drummer Roger Taylor has been giving mini drum lessons.

Most recently the two remaining active members of Queen teamed up for a virtual performance of We Are The Champions for fans.

And now Lambert has added his vocals, completing the band.

While Taylor wrote: “We’re all in this together.”

“Be well….take care….coming right back at you in 2021. Much love… Roger xxx.”

And Lambert added: “The health and safety of our fans is always our #1 concern.

“Due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, the 2020 Q+AL tour is being rescheduled to 2021. All tickets currently purchased will be valid for the rescheduled shows.”

Following the original announcement that the tour would be postponed, May’s original statement read: “We’re very sad to announce the postponement of our summer shows in Europe, although, in the present crazy state of the world, it cannot be a surprise to our fans.

“Those incredible scenes at our concerts just over a month ago now seem like an impossibly distant dream.

“We were so lucky to be able to complete that tour, running just ahead of the wave that was about to break on us.

“I know many of our fans are having similar moments of disbelief and bewilderment out there. Of course, we would have gone ahead with the dates had it been humanly possible. The good news is that we do NOW have a PLAN B ready to roll. If you hold on to your tickets they will be valid for the rescheduled shows. God willing, we will be there with bells on!”
