Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Aldi new restrictions rules – limits on products

Tesco is limiting some foods but not others, and there is a limit to the number of items you can order online.

The supermarket said: “To make sure more people have access to everyday essentials, we’ve introduced a limit of 80 items per online order.

“As our stock levels are starting to return to normal, we’re removing purchase limits on most of our products. On some products such as toilet roll, alcohol, pasta, and hand sanitisers, we’ve kept these limits until we’re fully stocked up again.”

Asda’s limits on food is less clear, and the supermarket is adapting its approach depending on stock.

Asda said: “To ensure there is enough for everyone, we will occasionally place purchase limits on certain products that are in high demand.
