Tesco UK issues Clubcard vouchers update as expiry date changes for using points

Tesco Clubcard is a loyalty scheme which allows shoppers to earn points as they spend. The supermarket giant has revealed customers will now have more time to use their points.

With coronavirus restrictions putting many plans of a day out on hold, the supermarket has updated rules on expiry dates.

Earlier this year, the supermarket confirmed points could be used for six months after they are due to expire.

It has now extended vouchers again for shoppers with Reward Partner codes.

They will now be available for one year after they are set to run out.

The Tesco website states: “Reward Partner codes will now be valid for 12 months from the original order date.

“So you have enough time to use them when things go back to normal.”

Clubcard vouchers are usually valid for two years from when they are earned.

But the new rules will give shoppers an extra year to use up any vouchers.

The supermarket chain will regularly update partners.

From January, Tesco has confirmed shoppers will no longer be able to cash vouchers in with NOW TV.

A statement on the Tesco website reads: “Unfortunately, NOW TV will leave the Clubcard scheme on 31 January 2021.

“You will be able to exchange your Clubcard vouchers until this date and any vouchers you receive must be redeemed before the expiry date included in your latest email.”
