WWE WrestleMania 36 to be axed as official confirms he will ‘pull plug’ over coronavirus | WWE | Sport

An official statement read: “While we remain committed to hosting WrestleMania at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday, April 5, we are putting contingency plans in place in the event that it is cancelled by government officials, civil authorities and/or local venues.

“The health and safety of our fans, performers and employees are our top priorities and we are monitoring the situation closely with our partners and government officials in Tampa Bay.”

WrestleMania is scheduled to take place on April 5 at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida and reports suggest that it could be moved for the summer if it gets postponed.

WWE are already taking action as they have cancelled non-televised live events, such as Saturday’s show at the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto, Canada and Sunday’s performance in Youngstown, Ohio – refunds will be made available.
